If only they knew Many mornings I find myself lying in bed thinking about you. I wonder if you are alone or perhaps getting lonely. I imagine a table by a window with two chairs, and a single cup of tea or coffee sitting on top. For many of us, this is a reality. Our most intimate and closest loved ones, have already begun their new journey, and we are alone, patiently waiting for our turn to be born again, and rejoin them on our next adventure. Yes, the lives we have led have been full and long. We have seen happiness and sadness, good times and bad. We have seen friends and family, born, live, and die. The memories stored inside come to mind more often now. With nothing new happening regularly in our lives each day, our minds drift to the path of times gone by. Oh for the memories we could share. Every day for many decades, we have spent absorbing information all around us. Feelings and emotions, have hit highs and lows that will take the younger generations a lifetime to feel. We are well weathered. We are time tested. We are learned in the knowledge of life. We have been taught by our own real life experiences, not reality TV. Look at your self in the mirror. You are beautiful, inside and out. An ocean of experience, knowledge, and wisdom. A vessel of true love and inner strength, brought through the refining fires of this hell we call earth. You are nearly perfect. The battle scars, most now healed, and others, buried deep in the abyss of our souls long ago. Yes, you are a treasure chest filled with the secrets of life. That makes you more precious than anything anywhere. So many of us with so much to offer, and yet our table is by the window, with only one cup aboard. We gaze out the window at the marvels of creation, when in reality, the marvels of creation should be gazing in at us, trying to tap our storage bank of life itself. We should be the teachers, the educators, the leaders of communities, countries and worlds. But alas, to those not so weathered, we are obsolete. Just foolish old folks who don't understand the way things are today. If only they knew! Anyway, I would love to encourage each and every one of my dear friends here, to comment and share your life experience right here. I would like to see everyone interacting with each other, sharing, learning and growing, and meeting a new friend. I know a lot of you already do, but we need to really reach out to each other and be a true loving community. Just being an ear for someone, or a positive like or reply to their comment, can lift them more then you know. Some folks have no one, you can change that right now. I cannot respond to every one, I "Need", you! We all need you. May this new week bring you comfort and healing. May your love and openness heal others, and together, may we complete our journeys with friendship and dignity. I truly do love you! Your friend always, mike
